The AR-08 fits any spray gun with a standard 1/4" NPT air inlet, which is the industry standard for HVLP and conventional spray guns. It mounts directly to the gun handle for at-the-tool pressure control.
Wall-mounted regulators lose accuracy over long hose runs. An at-gun regulator like the AR-08 gives you exact PSI at the tool, ensuring consistent atomization and finish quality.
Pressure drops 5-15 PSI between the compressor regulator and the spray gun due to hose length, fittings, and friction loss. The AR-08 mounts directly at the gun so you see and control the ACTUAL pressure entering the gun — not the pressure leaving the compressor. This is the difference between amateur and professional paint results.
HVLP guns typically operate at 25-35 PSI at the gun inlet (not compressor outlet). Start at 28 PSI for basecoat and adjust based on your specific gun, paint viscosity, and fan pattern. Clearcoat usually needs 2-3 PSI more than basecoat. The AR-08 fine-adjustment knob makes these small changes easy and precise.

We also require anyone who wishes to return a product, or request a refund, to fill out our Return/Refund Form. We will notify you via email or phone once we process your return/refund request. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method.
With regards to product exchanges, please note that we only accept this type of request if the product delivered to you is defective or damaged. If a customer opts to request a product exchange with “change of mind” as the reason, the product must be returned in its original packaging.
