What’s the difference between a coupler and a plug?

A coupler is the female quick-connect that stays on your air line and accepts a plug. A plug is the male quick-connect that screws into your air tool. Pushing the plug into the coupler creates an instant, sealed air connection. This kit includes both ends so you can build your full system.

Do I need Teflon tape on quick-connect fittings?

Use Teflon tape on the threaded NPT joints where fittings screw into your compressor, tools, or hose. Wrap 2–3 layers clockwise on the male threads before tightening. Do NOT use tape on the quick-connect coupling surfaces themselves — those seal mechanically with an internal O-ring.

What’s the difference between industrial and automotive quick-connect styles?

Don't buy for longevity

Dont buy these if you want them to last. I use my impact throughout the day. In the past week, I've burned through two of these fittings because the quality is so poor, they just snap.

Coupler has 3 ball design. But my 20 year old milton coupler is also a 3 ball design that I've had 0 issues with, so i cant say if its good or not. So far so good, no leaks in the 3 i installed.
