Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between an angle die grinder and a straight die grinder?

A: An angle die grinder like the LE-G1343L has a 90-degree head that lets you reach into tight corners, flush against surfaces, and inside cavities where a straight grinder cannot fit. Straight grinders are better for forward-facing work. Many professionals keep both types for maximum versatility.

Q: What accessories can I use with this angle grinder?

A: The LE-G1343L accepts all standard 1/4-inch shank mounted points, carbide burrs, sanding drums, and flap wheels. With the spindle lock, bit changes take one wrench instead of two. Popular uses include deburring welds, porting engine heads, polishing molds, and carving wood or stone.

Q: What air supply does the LE-G1343L need?

A: The LE-G1343L operates at 18,000 RPM and requires approximately 4-6 CFM at 90 PSI for optimal performance. A compressor with at least 20-gallon tank and 5+ CFM output at 90 PSI will provide smooth, uninterrupted operation for extended grinding sessions.

Why Professionals Choose This Tool

  • 18,000 RPM Angle Head: Right-angle design reaches into tight spaces, inside corners, and recessed areas that straight grinders cannot access
  • Spindle Lock-Out: One-button spindle lock for fast, safe accessory changes — no second wrench needed
  • Composite Body: Lightweight composite housing reduces fatigue during extended grinding and deburring sessions
  • Rear Exhaust: Directs exhaust away from the workpiece and operator — critical for clean finishing work

What's in the Box

  • LE-G1343L air angle die grinder
  • Spindle lock-out button
  • 1/4" collet (pre-installed)
  • Spanner wrench
  • Air inlet fitting (1/4" NPT)
  • User manual

Compatible With

Accessories 1/4" shank mounted points, carbide burrs, grinding stones, sanding drums, wire brushes, flap wheels
Air Compressors 5-6 CFM at 90 PSI
Materials Steel, cast iron, aluminum, wood, plastic, fiberglass

Ideal Applications: angle grinding, tight-space deburring, weld cleanup in corners, casting flash removal, port matching, mold finishing, woodworking detail

When should I use an angle die grinder vs a straight die grinder?

Use an angle grinder for work in tight spaces, inside corners, recessed ports, and any application where the straight-line approach of a straight grinder is blocked. The LE-G1343L angle head lets you access 90° surfaces, inside cavities, and tight channels. Use a straight die grinder (LE-G1045R) for open-access work and deep-cavity porting where the inline reach is needed.

What does spindle lock-out mean?

The spindle lock-out button locks the spindle shaft so you can tighten or loosen the collet nut with one wrench instead of two. Press the button, hold, and turn the wrench. It makes accessory changes faster and eliminates the need to carry two wrenches.

I can finally retire my old trustworthy, right angle grinder shown in the picture

After many many years of constant use, I’m finally able to let my old one rest. This is my new favorite. I really like everything about it. It just feels good in your hand. Those that have used enough tools Can understand what I’m saying. When you use something, sometimes it just feels natural in your hand. The other thing that I really like about this unit is the shaft lock, you can see that’s the orange button. It locks the shaft so you just have to use one wrench to unscrew it, you don’t have two wrench dance changing the ends. It has smooth and great grinding speed very controllable so the valve allows. You speed control with the subtlety you need sometimes. You can hear if there’s a problem with the gear lash and I can hear nothing in this unit. It should last quite a while for me.

Compact & well functioning!

Decent quality little tool that handles your common 90psi settings. I also like how I can adjust the speed on the back. The collet has a lock to easily keep the head fixed while changing out tips. This fits all my 1/4" accessories just fine. Comes with the commonly used 1/4" air chuck quick connect fitting and some teflon tape. Now I'm really impressed by the included parts list with part numbers for everything but I don't know if those numbers interchange with other brands or if these would only be available through this company and if so, how to get in contact with them. Still a nice piece of mind that provides. So far I'm very happy with this tool!

This is quite a stubby die grinder but it is still quite heavy for the size. The orange button locks the spindle so you can use the supplied wrench to loosen/tighten the bits.It accepts 1/4" bits (confirmed) and the collet is well machined to do so.The trigger has a locking pin that you need to push up before you can squeeze the trigger. It works but you it is a bit fiddly. Squeezing the trigger even slightly makes disengaging the lock difficult. After a bit of practice it is far easier, but certainly not something you do instinctively. In operation it is quite smooth. It spins up fast and goes fast. There is very little free play in the spindle so it will be easy to do precision work with it.Works very well at this point, but 18,000 rpm can take its toll on tools. I can't comment on its longevity.

What you see is what you get...

This is a bare-bones box consisting of the angle die grinder, a tiny spool of teflon tape, a tightening wrench for the collet, a ¼ inch male NPT air coupler and a parts list. This is more bare bones than I anticipated for the price they are asking. There was no complimentary spindle, bits or wheels included or even an instruction manual.I was hoping for pressure ratings, maintenance/lube advice or suggested compressor size etc etc...What you see is what you get.I tried it out to see if my installation of the coupler was air-tight and to see how it runs.Speed is controlled by the hand pressure switch. The more you squeeze, the more air is released and the faster it runs. I've gotta say that the lock release of the switch is not easy to operate with one hand.I attached it to my small compressor - and it ran great...very smoothly indeed, and I couldn't feel any vented air coming from anywhere. It makes one heck of an impressive noise, especially if you open the throttle.I'm going to say though that my compressor ( set at ~90lbs.) might be far too small as it came back on to re-pressurize after only 30 seconds of use. This angle die grinder feels weighty for its size and appears to be sturdily made. Searching on-line for comparisons, this grinder from LE LEMATEC far exceeds others in price. As there was no literature vouching for its quality and durability, it might takes a while to prove that this is a worthy buy.
