Why Choose a Flexible Die Grinder?

The flexible head rotates 360 degrees and locks at any angle, letting you reach tight spaces that straight and angled die grinders can't access. Ideal for port and polish work inside engine heads, deburring inside tubes and housings, and finishing welds in confined spaces. At 20,000 RPM, it delivers precise material removal with carbide burrs, mounted points, and small grinding wheels.

Frequently Asked Questions

What accessories fit this die grinder?

The 1/4" collet accepts all standard 1/4" shank accessories: carbide burrs, mounted grinding points, sanding drums, flap wheels, and small cut-off wheels. Any 1/4" shank rotary accessory will fit.

How does this compare to a straight die grinder?

A straight die grinder is simpler and more rigid — better for flat surfaces and open access. The flexible head grinder sacrifices some rigidity for vastly improved reach in tight spaces. Many shops keep both: the straight grinder for general work and the flexible for hard-to-reach areas.

What air supply does this need?

The LE-G2543R requires 4 CFM at 90 PSI for full speed. An inline air regulator is recommended to fine-tune RPM for different materials — lower speed for aluminum, full speed for steel.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the advantage of a flexible die grinder?

The flexible shaft allows the grinding head to reach into tight spaces — engine compartments, pipe interiors, and confined areas — that rigid straight or angle grinders cannot access.

What accessories can I use with this?

The LE-G2543R accepts any 1/4" shank grinding stones, carbide burrs, sanding drums, and polishing wheels — the same accessories used with standard die grinders.

How flexible is the head?

The flexible shaft allows approximately 90° of articulation from the main body axis. This lets you grind, polish, and deburr inside enclosed spaces, around corners, and at compound angles that neither straight nor angle grinders can reach. Think of it as a combination of a die grinder and a flexible shaft tool.

Is the flexible head as powerful as a straight or angle grinder?

At 20,000 RPM, the LE-G2543R delivers comparable cutting speed to straight die grinders. The flexible shaft does absorb a small amount of power compared to a rigid connection, but for finishing, deburring, and detail work, the performance difference is negligible. The access advantage far outweighs any minor power difference.

Quick Setup Guide

Insert your grinding bit, burr, or mounted point into the 1/4" collet and tighten firmly using the included wrenches. Connect to your air line via the 1/4" NPT inlet at 90 PSI. The flexible shaft allows the grinding head to articulate into angles that rigid grinders cannot reach. Run the tool at no load for 30 seconds before engaging the workpiece to ensure the collet is secure. Always run the tool at full speed before contact — loading a slow-spinning grinder can cause the bit to catch and kick.

This 20,000 RPM die grinder features an adjustable head (0-90°) that "replaces two separate die grinders." Customers praised its power, versatility, and comfort, noting it's "great for weld cleanup" and "perfect for porting work." However, some concerns exist: the head adjustment nut can loosen too far and dislodge an e-clip, and the collet is "pretty stiff" requiring force to insert bits.

  • Great for weld cleanup. Variable angle is amazing.
  • Perfect for porting work. The flexible head makes it so much easier.
  • This might be my new favorite air tool.

What a great grinder!

I’ve been using the Adjustable Head Pneumatic Die Grinder for grinding the insides of tires when applying patches and it’s been a solid tool for the job. The 1/4" high-speed capability at 20,000 RPM gives me the power I need to quickly smooth out rough surfaces inside the tire. The rear exhaust helps keep dust and debris away from the area I’m working on which is a nice touch. At 1.4 lbs it’s light enough to handle comfortably for extended periods without causing strain. The noise level at 82 dB is what I’d expect for a tool like this but it’s manageable with ear protection. I appreciate the adjustable head since it makes it easier to maneuver the grinder into tight spots inside the tire. Overall, the performance has been reliable and efficient for tire patching and I’ve had no issues with it so far. It’s a good value if you need a die grinder for precision work in tight spaces.

Great tool! Flexible head for different situations, comfortable grip.

This might be my new favorite air tool. I already had a half dozen air die grinders and two cordless ones, but I'd never seen one which offered an adjustable angle head. I haven't used it enough to speak of durability, and worry a little about what I think is a gear linkage beside the head to transfer power to the head. The head is slightly taller than normal air models, so it doesn't always fit into tight places, but with the swiveling head, I can usually find a way to fit it in. Most right angle die grinders don't even quite achieve a full 90 degrees, but this tool goes a little beyond 90. It is somewhat awkward when used in a straight position, but I have other grinders for that position. The handle is more comfortable than my other grinders, and is more insulated from the cold which results from the pressurized air being released. I also like that the air exhaust for the head is directable with a swiveling shield on the head. This keeps it from blowing on your hands or face while operating. Included with the die grinder was a bonus gift air blower with various nozzles. While not a high volume or large blow gun, the tips have proven very useful. I particularly like the flat tip for removing flaking paint. This is my first LEMATEC product, but I'm impressed. While this isn't the cheapest die grinder, it feels like a quality tool and I'm very happy with the adjustable head. I would currently greatly recommend this product for those who appreciate right angle die grinders.

Great Solid Versatile Tool

PROS: Solid industrial quality build with a good solid feel, stable variable speeds so you can hold the trigger all the way in at all times making more precise work possible, great lockable swivel head functions, small and compact fits into most areas but packs some decent speeds and power, easy one handed larger safety switch is fairly comfortable when compared to others, includes chuck wrenches, teflon tape and standard air compressor coupling, a cloth storage/carry bag and a very nicely made compact variable output air gun with multiple accessories and nozzles as a bonus (great versatile lanyard key chain piece, that fits in small spaces, you may want one of these if not included in your pack). Fairly quiet for an air tool. CONS: Wrenches work fine, but one is marked 17MM the other 14MM wrench is not labeled (no big deal) long as you keep them with the tool, the chuck insert, collar, and threads are well machined and easy to tighten/loosen. Chuck Only fits 1/4 inch shafts, my other slightly larger in diameter shafted accessories won't quite fit in (dam metric equivalent sizing is 7MM which is closer to 9/32 ). Overall a great value for a solid industrial quality daily use tool. Could make a great gift!

It is quieter! But otherwise kinda meh?

I was somewhat disappointed in this tool. Given the advertised price right up around a solid hundred bucks, and a somewhat nameful-sounding brand, maybe I had too high of expectations? It's not a bad tool, but compared to the forty buck random-letters-branded die grinder I already had it's not much better in fit and finish. The main big positive this has going for it is that it IS significantly quieter than my other air grinder. Instead of the screechy loud automotive shop sound it's a lot more subdued air motor sound. The adjustable-angle is pretty cool too, of course. But the "latch" to lock/unlock the head angle is really just kind of a screw/clamp thing. It feels sort of meh but gets the job done if you wind it up around far enough in each direction. The speed adjustment is also just okay. (And the bonus air nozzle they included is also just kind of so-so….)Perhaps the most non-luxurious thing on this luxury-priced grinder is that even after loosening, the collet is pretty stiff and I've been having to muscle each shank in a bit rather than just sliding smoothly. And of course I'll add the obligatory gripe that in a tool with this many bells and whistles, having a push-button tool change that required keeping track of only one wrench instead of two would have been appreciated!Overall, again this isn't a bad wrench but I do wonder why someone wouldn't just spend the money on two cheap ones (one straight, one 90º) and use those instead. The quieter motor, though, might keep me reaching for this over my other one even if the collet is kind of a pain.

Compact & well functioning!

Decent quality little tool that handles your common 90psi settings. I also like how I can adjust the speed on the back. The collet has a lock to easily keep the head fixed while changing out tips. This fits all my 1/4" accessories just fine. Comes with the commonly used 1/4" air chuck quick connect fitting and some teflon tape. Now I'm really impressed by the included parts list with part numbers for everything but I don't know if those numbers interchange with other brands or if these would only be available through this company and if so, how to get in contact with them. Still a nice piece of mind that provides. So far I'm very happy with this tool!

Good Quality Product

The grinder came well packaged and was easy to set up. I installed the air chuck into the handle of the grinder and connected with my home shop air compressor. I added some air tool oil and everything came to life and the product worked well. The grinder came with teflon tape and an air chuck and also included a bonus mini air blower with some attachments which I thought was very nice. The grinder itself has a head angle adjustment with locking thumbscrew and also a slide adjustment for speed/air pressure to the tool. Both of those are easy to adjust and are marked in red and can be easily seen against the black base color of the air grinder itself. The grinder includes wrenches to adjust the bit chuck and I thought it would have been nice to have a hands-free approach but at the operating speeds of the grinder, I'm sure the wrench and collet approach is safer.I like this grinder and I hope my review will help you decide if it is right for your applications. Thanks for reading!

Good speed for body work

I used this air grinder for some detail work on metal parts, and it performed really well. The 20,000 RPM speed made quick work of grinding and deburring, and the adjustable head helped me get into tighter spaces that a standard straight grinder wouldn’t reach. The rear exhaust kept debris and air out of my face, which was a nice bonus. It felt solid in hand and didn’t have excessive vibration, though it does need a steady air supply to keep up.

Replaces 2 tools! But has 1 minor flaw.

Prior to getting this, I had 2 separate die grinders - a right angle and a straight / axial version. Because I do a lot of light metal fab, my die grinders are probably my MOST used air tools, and I was always switching between them, because they're angled differently, they get into different places to do different jobs. This meant a lot of time spent taking tools out of chucks and putting them in other chucks.Because this has an adjustable head, all I have to do is loosen the nut and pivot the head, and I've saved a lot of time. To say the pivoting head is useful is a vast understatement. Like most die grinders, it swallows its fair share of air, but power is adequate, and it even has a built-in regulator, so you can crank it up at the compressor and just turn it down at the tool. Once again, saving time and effort.Included also is a nice little dust-off tool which is actually of exceptional quality and utility and is something that's almost as good as the die grinder itself. The only problem I had with it? The head is a little stiff to move, and the nut that allows you to pivot the head doesn't have any stops. It's just a screw, essentially. Unfortunately, because the handle is held on by an e-clip of sorts, if you loosen the handle too much trying to get the head to pivot, you'll literally push the e-clip right off the shaft, and the handle will pop off. Whoops. So that part of the tool really needs to be re-worked. The solution is to be very careful when you're loosening the thing that allows the head to pivot. When you feel some resistance, STOP. I didn't even notice I was pushing the e-clip off until it was too late. Now that I've bent up the e-clip, I'll have to source another. Sigh. It's a fantastically useful die grinder, being able to fill both axial and right-angle roles in a single tool. The fact it replaces 2 tools makes the asking price that much better, as well. Just be careful when you go to adjust the angle of the head...it's a bit stiff, don't loosen the nut too far. 4 stars.

Very good air die grinder

This is a pretty nice air die grinder. It's got an adjustable head that can go from right angle to straight. There is a speed control that goes from quite slow to very fast. The trigger is comfortable and the trigger lock is easy to disengage. It's got a nice look and it came with a free micro air blower with attachments.Overall it's a nice unit and seems of similar build quality to the "pro" line die grinders at the well-known discount tool store, HF. If you were to try and replicate this tool buying from them you'd have to buy two tools, a straight and a right-angle, which would end up costing you more than this unit.I don't use an air die grinder often, maybe once a year, so having a tool that does both means I can save a little space. I'm very happy with this tool.

Le Lematec: Burr Bon

I love this thing. I really do. Finally a baby pneumatic die grinder that doesn't leak. I half expected it to leak - with the 90 degree adjustable head - nope, doesn't leak a spit. I've never shelled out a hundred bucks for a pneumatic die grinder before - If I had I might own one that didn't leak. This one at the current asking of 99 bucks seems like a fair deal to me.In hand - it feels like a real tool. Feels like she's all metal - with the exception of the adjustable plastic vent ring. The spring loaded paddle trigger is convenient and easy to use. The collet and collet related hardware is solid - I don't foresee any problems with it. I really like the 90 degree adjustable head - convenient. The variable speed adjustment is a nice touch also. For me - this is a die grinder - she will live on the shelf behind the big lathe with a carbide burr installed. I'll use her mostly for deburring, and quick rudimentary chamfers. She'll also be there reminding me not to do stupid stuff, that wastes irretrievable eternities, with a dremel. You could waste a lot of time with this also - if you're thinking she's a 5" grinder. She's not. She's a baby die grinder. I own maybe 10 plus grinders and buffers - she won't take the place of any of those. Unfortunately that looks like what Lematec is trying to market this tool as. This is not a grinder or a buffer - it's a little die grinder. If you need a grinder or a buffer I'd recommend getting a grinder or a buffer. If you need a nice little die grinder - this Lematec is the awesome. If it wasn't for the marketing I would say 7 super novas, but since she rocks I'll say:5 Stars for The Lematec Pneumatic Die Grinder ~ Thanks for Reading – Have an Incredible Life! ~

Love the feel of this air die grinder and how it fits my hand. So much more comfortable to work with than the inline straight one I have used all my life. Speed controls right at your fingertips as well which is nice. I love they included the end tips and even teflon tape and was really happy with the little blowgun as a bonus!
